Details of Disappearance:
On New Year’s Eve 2014, a woman named Boelter finished her shift at an IGA grocery store in Bloomfield, Indiana. She left with a middle-aged white man with glasses in his silver, beige, or gold car (a Mercury Milan).

She told a friend she’d go to a party later but didn’t want the man to know her address, so she asked to be dropped off at a closed pizza place. That was the last time anyone saw her.

When she didn’t go to work the next day or see her son (who was in foster care), she was reported missing. Her purse, phone, and keys were gone from her apartment, but nothing else was touched.

Six weeks later, her ex-boyfriend (and her son’s father) was murdered. Police say there’s no link between the two crimes.

The man who gave Boelter a ride that night had a history of kidnapping and rape. Also, someone in Boelter’s apartment building had been convicted of killing and torturing a child. Despite these connections, no one has been arrested for Boelter’s disappearance, which remains a mystery.
