Distinguishing Characteristics Caucasian female. Brown hair, blue eyes. Rico may use the last names Pressey and/or Rico-Webber. She has previously sustained a fracture in her rib area. She has a scar on her left side from a test tube and a scar on her right cheek.

Details of Disappearance:

Rico disappeared from her Oceanside, California home on April 2, 1992. She missed her niece’s wedding a week later, and her family reported her missing on April 20th. A neighbor initially claimed to see her on TV news footage ten days after her disappearance, but this was later ruled out.

When her son visited her house, he found the back patio door broken, a little blood on her bed (possibly old, as she wasn’t tidy), and the phone line cut. Her car, luggage, wallet, and purse were all at home, suggesting she didn’t leave willingly. She’d planned to give her niece a bridal slip, which was ready on the ironing board.

Rico had worked at Mission Elementary but quit in 1991 after a divorce. Interestingly, another school aide, Margaret Yossa, disappeared in 1994. Yossa’s remains were found later, but her case remains unsolved. Both women lived near each other, shopped at the same store, and their disappearances had some eerie similarities, but police found no connection between the cases.

In 1998, police searched Rico’s old house (which was condemned) after finding a suspicious patch of concrete under the floor. The search results were never made public, and Rico’s disappearance remains a mystery.
