Details of Disappearance:
Mary disappeared from her Santa Cruz, California home on October 20, 1954. She and her husband, George, had a fight, and after George left the house, Mary vanished. Their two kids were alone at home when he returned. Mary took $100 and a note saying, “You can go on alone.” Since her parents lived in Canada, George worried she’d run off to be with them, taking the children. Nobody has heard from Mary since, and the case is still a mystery.
