- Two people, Lopez and Azaren Cordova, vanished from Phoenix, Arizona in April 2008. A year later, some of their bones were found buried in the desert near Casa Grande. More bones were discovered in a septic tank in Casa Grande years later. Both had been cut up.
Police think two brothers, Fausto and Dionicio Negrete-Olivas, who were big drug dealers, were involved. They haven’t been caught and are thought to be hiding in Mexico. Investigators believe a powerful Mexican drug gang from Sinaloa is responsible for the killings.
