- Details of Disappearance:
- On May 18, 2005, Lewis left her Birmingham, Alabama home around 3:45 a.m. to go to her job at Children’s Hospital. She called her brother saying she had a flat tire and needed help, but when he went to where she said she was, she wasn’t there. Lewis never made it to work and has been missing ever since. Her brother thought her claim of a flat tire was strange because her tires were new.
Her blue 2001 Chevrolet S10 truck (license plate YOBOS) was found abandoned a few days later at a gas station. Witnesses saw a man driving it after she disappeared.
Police are interested in talking to two people: Penny Clark, whose fingerprints were found on the truck, and John Dubose, who was in jail on unrelated charges after Lewis vanished and whose whereabouts are now unknown.
Police suspect foul play and Lewis’s disappearance remains a mystery.
