- On August 29, 2013, Jenkins disappeared from Sumter, South Carolina. She walked her 10-year-old son to the school bus stop that morning. After the bus left, she seemed confused and walked back towards home but never arrived.
The year before, Jenkins had a lot of trouble: she lost her job, her apartment, and her truck. She was quiet and withdrawn, often walking alone. The night before she vanished, she came home late with a swollen lip, but wouldn’t explain what happened. She asked her mother to get her son to school if she wasn’t around.
There were a few unconfirmed reports of seeing her in the area after she disappeared, and her bank account hasn’t been used. She might be found around Oakland, Council, or Dingle streets. Because of her strange behavior before she disappeared, police are worried about her safety. The case is still unsolved.
