- Nicki vanished from Miami on Valentine’s Day, 1981. Almost a month later, her body was discovered in a canal in Moore Haven. She’d been murdered – hit on the head – and while she’d likely only been dead a day when found, her body was too decayed to be recognized. It wasn’t until nearly 40 years later, in September 2020, that she was finally identified.
