- Details of Disappearance:
- On August 6, 1992, a woman named Norred disappeared from Acworth, Georgia. She’d been arguing with her boyfriend, Steven Creasman, and they left together in her silver truck. The next day, her daughter found her missing from their home; her truck, a phone cord, and a comforter were also gone. Norred’s son said he thought she left with Creasman. Her truck was found abandoned six weeks later.
Creasman is a prime suspect, not just in Norred’s disappearance, but also in the 1989 disappearance of another girlfriend and the 1986 murder of his wife, Rita. Rita was strangled, and her body was found in a creek. Creasman claimed she went out and never returned. He and Rita had a troubled marriage, and she was filing for divorce the day she disappeared.
Creasman had a history of violence and instability, including a car theft conviction and past suicide attempts. After Norred disappeared, he pawned some of her jewelry and was seen with her gun. Although police never charged him with any of these crimes, he’s considered the main suspect. He died in 2013. Norred’s disappearance is still unsolved, and police believe she was likely a victim of foul play.
