- Ruest disappeared from the Sky Way Hotel in Miami, Florida on October 11, 1979. He checked in, but never left. He vanished, leaving all his stuff in his room except his wallet and ID. The hotel cleaned the room and rented it out to someone else. Not much is known about what happened to him.
