- David Kirchmann vanished in 1996. He was a truck driver in Los Angeles and was last seen in Sylmar on July 5th. He told a coworker he was going to St. Louis for a short trip, but no one knows if he ever made it. A week later, on July 12th, his car was found abandoned at Ontario International Airport. He wasn’t there, and there’s no proof he got on a plane. He’s never been seen or heard from since.
Some think he might have amnesia and be in a hospital somewhere, listed as an unidentified patient (“John Doe”). There’s some confusion about the exact location of his disappearance; some records say it was San Fernando on July 12th, but his last confirmed sighting was in Sylmar a week earlier.
