- Rickel’s dad, Rickey Evans, who wasn’t supposed to have her, took her from Memphis in June 2006. Because Evans was involved with drugs, people worried about Rickel’s safety. A year later, police found Evans in Texas and arrested him. Rickel was with him, but she was gone when the police went back. They found her the next day at her grandmother’s house in Memphis. Rickel is going back to live with her mom.
