Details of Disappearance:
On February 1, 1997, a man named Miller went fishing off Mission Beach in San Diego. He rented a boat at Seaforth Boat Rentals, leaving his white Toyota (license plate 3GIH666) parked there. He left the dock at 9:45 a.m. Around 11:00 a.m., his boat was found empty and drifting in the ocean. His fishing gear was still on board, including a life vest, but Miller was gone. Police don’t think he was murdered or killed himself; they believe he likely had an accident and drowned. Miller was an engineer, lived alone in La Jolla, and had no close relationships nearby; his family lived far away on the East Coast. His body was never found.
