Details of Disappearance:: On Christmas Eve 1997, a man named Sheriff disappeared in Jackson, Mississippi. He was last seen leaving his sister’s house around 10:30 pm on December 23rd, driving home. His car, a Dodge Dynasty, was found the next day in Hanging Moss Creek. The creek was flooded. One of his jackets was in the car, and another was found in the creek. It looked like he’d driven off the road near a bridge on Hanging Moss Road. He’d been very tired in the days before he vanished. Police first thought he’d drowned, but his body was never found. Now, they think something bad might have happened to him. Sheriff was a social studies teacher and had a wife and five grown kids. The case is still a mystery.
