- On September 5, 2015, near Naples, Florida, a man named Poissant went boating with his girlfriend. They jumped into the ocean for a swim, but their boat drifted away because it wasn’t anchored. The current was strong. Poissant told his girlfriend to swim back to the boat. She did, but got separated from him around 5:00 p.m. She swam for four hours to reach the shore. Poissant never made it. A big search was done, but he was never found, although the boat was found a few miles away. It’s believed he drowned.
