- On New Year’s Eve 2008, Mr. Grooms disappeared from his assisted living home in Eutawville, South Carolina. He walked out with a friend, but his friend came back – Mr. Grooms didn’t. He’s never been seen or heard from since.
He was allowed to leave the facility whenever he wanted, and had done so before, but never for this long. It was cold and snowy that day, and he didn’t even take a coat. Because of these things, police are worried about him and his case is still a mystery.
