- Details of Disappearance:
- In July 1986, a woman named Ihm, who lived in San Diego, visited her friends in Phoenix, Arizona. Her former family gardener, Robert Yama, paid for her plane ticket and picked her up. Ihm went to a party, and was last seen on July 13th.
Yama, who Ihm’s family said had romantic feelings for her, was upset she spent the weekend with friends instead of him. He claimed to have dropped her off at a bus station so she could return to San Diego, but she never got on the bus and never started her new job. She vanished without a trace.
Yama was uncooperative with the police investigation and is considered a suspect, but he died in 2005 without ever being charged. Police believe something bad happened to Ihm, but her disappearance remains a mystery.
