- Roseanna and her friend April disappeared from St. Cloud, Minnesota on August 14, 1998. They were at a party that night and may have been hitchhiking home afterwards.
Later, someone told police that his friend killed both girls in St. Paul and helped bury them near the Leaf River in Wadena County. Police searched, but found nothing. They don’t know if this person was telling the truth.
At first, police thought the girls ran away because they’d done that before, and Roseanna was even planning a trip to California. They usually called their families when they were gone, but this time they didn’t. Roseanna had also recently finished a program for skipping school.
Roseanna’s and April’s families believe something bad happened to them.
