- Payne disappeared on May 15, 1994, from Royse City, Texas. She was driving a light green, four-door 1989 Volvo. Her family reported her missing after she didn’t come home. They later heard rumors she’d been seen at a bar in West Tawakoni and a friend’s house in Hawk Cove, but these sightings weren’t confirmed.
Years later, the detective on the original case bumped into Payne’s family and discovered the police had no active missing person report on her! The family filed a new report.
Payne hadn’t finished paying for her car, and it wasn’t even registered in her name when she vanished. The car has never been found, and there’s very little information about what happened to her.
