- Bernice disappeared in Everett, Washington on October 12, 1962. Her sister didn’t report her missing until December 18th of that year.
Thirty-three years later, someone told police that Bernice’s husband, Donald, had killed her and buried her under a road. They were getting a divorce at the time of her disappearance, and Donald was always suspected. He died in 1980.
Police dug up a part of the road where the body was supposedly buried, but they found nothing. Even though Bernice’s body was never found, police believe she was murdered.
