Details of Disappearance:: On June 9, 2010, Sofia, a young girl from Chicago, was kayaking on Lake Michigan near Holland, Wisconsin. She wasn’t wearing a life jacket. Strong winds blew her kayak far from the shore. Her dad tried to swim to her, but couldn’t keep up. Another person went out in a canoe and found Sofia’s empty kayak a long way from land. Sofia was never found, and everyone believes she drowned. A big search happened, but she was never located.
