- Details of Disappearance:
- In June 1974, two friends, Packard and Linda Lovell, were hitchhiking along the California coast. They were on their way to Seattle for a World’s Fair, and planned to return home to Montana afterwards.
Packard called his family from Stinson Beach on June 10th. Then, on June 20th, one of his checks was used at a store further up the coast. After that, both Packard and Lovell vanished without a trace.
Police in Santa Maria, California are still trying to figure out what happened, but the case remains a mystery.
