Details of Disappearance:
Anthony Aiello vanished from the Bronx on September 15, 1995. He was about to start a new job as a bricklayer when he disappeared and has never been found.

Police think his disappearance might be linked to organized crime. Before he vanished, Aiello testified in court, giving an alibi that helped get a man acquitted of murder. This murder involved a powerful mob family, and Aiello’s testimony may have been false. Investigators suspect either the Gambino or Genovese crime families—powerful New York mafia groups—might have been involved in his disappearance because they felt he lied under oath.

Because of the suspicious circumstances, police believe something bad happened to him. Making the case even more unusual: his father was a high-ranking NYPD detective at the time.
