- Details of Disappearance:
- Odell disappeared from her Dunnellon, Florida home on June 30th, 2010. Her boyfriend, Raul Sosa, reported her missing the next day. Oddly, Odell left behind her purse and phone.
Over the July 4th weekend, Sosa drove to Miami in Odell’s truck (though it was registered to him), taking her dog, Moca, with him. Surveillance footage showed him in Wildwood, Florida, late on July 4th. Moca was found alone and scared in Miami a few days later.
Sosa disappeared after the Miami trip, leaving his truck behind but taking his own car. Police couldn’t find him, even searching their home (they found nothing but trash where the ground had been freshly dug up). Eventually, Sosa was found, but he refused to talk to police and got a lawyer.
While there was no history of domestic violence, people said their relationship was stormy, and Sosa could be violent when drunk. Odell’s disappearance is considered suspicious, and the case remains unsolved.
