- Details of Disappearance:
- Adriana, a high school freshman, was last seen at her home in Ephrata, Pennsylvania on November 28, 1988. Her mom saw her at 6:15 am, then left for work. Adriana went back to sleep. School was closed that day.
Her stepfather came home later and found the living room curtains still closed – Adriana usually opened them. She wasn’t home, so he thought she was out. When she didn’t return, her parents reported her missing at 9:33 pm.
Her purse and some books were left behind, but her backpack and a change of clothes were gone. Friends said she seemed fine and hadn’t planned to leave. She had money in her bank account.
Police first thought she might have left with an older man she knew. But soon, they suspected she’d been murdered. They have a person of interest, but haven’t revealed his name and he no longer lives nearby. The case is still unsolved.
