- Distinguishing Characteristics African-American female. Black hair, brown eyes. Some agencies spell Aesha’s last name “Muhammad.” She has a gap between her upper front teeth and a small linear scar on her abdomen.

- Aesha, a mother living in Philadelphia, disappeared on November 30, 2000, along with her two-year-old son, Amaru. A few weeks later, Amaru was found alone and unharmed at a church in Newark, New Jersey. He couldn’t remember what happened but later told relatives he saw someone kill his mother. He said she fought with someone who punched and hit her with a rock. Police haven’t caught the person Amaru identified.
Aesha worked at a beauty salon and was studying to be a beautician. She lived in a boarding house run by her uncle, Charles Dockins, with whom she had problems. When Aesha disappeared, Dockins claimed she left willingly, but her room was almost empty. Police believe Aesha was murdered, and the case remains unsolved.
