- Agathluk disappeared on November 16, 2006. He left Emmonak, Alaska, on his snowmobile at 4:00 p.m., heading for Alakanuk, but never made it. Searchers found his snowmobile in the Yukon River; there was a hole in the ice, and his boots and one glove were in the water. It looks like he fell through the ice and drowned, but his body was never found. The mystery of what happened to him remains unsolved.
