- Details of Disappearance:
- On August 25, 1985, Cardell went diving at Point Lobos State Park in California. He started to swim up to get air, but he disappeared and never resurfaced. Everyone believes he drowned, but his body was never found. The police still consider him a missing person because of this accident. Before he disappeared, Cardell had a biochemistry degree from UC Davis and worked in genetic research. He wanted to become a veterinarian.
