- Alice disappeared from her Merritt Island, Florida home in March 2000. She left everything behind – her wheelchair (which she needed), clothes, and ID. Her son, Carl, was her caretaker and had control of her money. He was supposed to use her money for her care but instead may have misused it.
Alice’s daughter couldn’t reach her starting in early 2000. Carl gave excuses, then stopped answering the phone. Police got involved, but Carl wouldn’t say where Alice was. He had a long criminal history and was convicted of crimes related to Alice’s disappearance, including stealing from her. He later died.
Because Alice left all her belongings, police suspect something bad happened to her. The case remains unsolved.
