Details of Disappearance:: Alicia disappeared in Pomona, California on May 7, 2000. Her mom said Alicia wandered off in a park, but Alicia’s twin sister said their mom put Alicia in a drain. Their home was incredibly dirty and dangerous: no clean water, barely any food, exposed wires, and animal droppings. Because of these terrible living conditions, the mom and her boyfriend were arrested for child endangerment. Later, they were also charged with murdering Alicia, hurting her, and abusing her. Police searched for Alicia’s body but never found it. The mom and boyfriend were found guilty and sent to prison for 33 years to life. Even though they tried to appeal, they stayed in jail. Because of everything, police believe Alicia’s death wasn’t an accident.
