Details of Disappearance:
Kail disappeared on March 5, 2011. She left her brother’s house in West Mifflin, Pennsylvania with her boyfriend, Alexander Lorenzi, claiming they were going to Florida. They drove off in a red Ford Explorer. Kail packed bags but said she wasn’t paying for anything on the trip.

She’s never been seen or heard from since. Her phone was turned off on March 5th, and there’s no evidence she ever reached Florida.

Lorenzi returned to Pittsburgh on March 16th and gave conflicting stories about Kail’s whereabouts. He said she was in Florida, then that he dropped her off in Mount Washington, Pennsylvania. Kail’s family reported her missing on March 19th.

Lorenzi has a criminal record (theft and assault) and was uncooperative with the police. Searches of his car and home turned up drugs (marijuana, cocaine) and a stolen gun, leading to his arrest. Kail’s ex-boyfriend was also briefly investigated but cleared.

After Kail disappeared, Lorenzi got a new girlfriend. He later allegedly killed her dog, assaulted a police officer during his arrest, and had more drugs and $6,000 in cash at his home. He faces additional charges.

Kail’s family says she was a normal, happy teenager. While there’s no proof she was harmed, her sudden disappearance is out of character and they are worried about her. The case remains unsolved.
