- In December 1977, a man named Kaplan vanished. He was last seen leaving a bar called the Banana Boat Lounge in Boca Raton, Florida, after having drinks with a woman. He went home to his apartment in Boynton Beach, changed clothes, and then disappeared without a trace. His wallet, watch, and other belongings were gone too, but he left his car at home. Police found no evidence of a crime, but there are also very few clues about what happened to him. Kaplan owned two restaurants and had two daughters. He never used his credit cards or touched his money after he disappeared. The mystery of his disappearance remains unsolved.
