- On May 22, 1986, a woman named Johnson disappeared from Livingston, Montana. She told her roommate she’d be back in a few hours but never returned. She was seen that night with an ex-boyfriend, who said he dropped her off downtown. Someone may have seen her at a bar in Gardiner, Montana (a town 50 miles away) six days later, but it’s not certain.
Johnson left behind everything – her apartment, her belongings, even an uncashed check – and her baby daughter. Police think she was murdered, but they’ve never found her or solved the case.
