Details of Disappearance:
Amy disappeared on November 6, 1981, from her apartment in Phoenix, Arizona. Her neighbor, Raymond Diaz, and his girlfriend picked her up for a party around 10:30 PM. Amy tried to get her younger sister to come, but she refused.

Later that night, Diaz and his girlfriend, Diaz naked, showed up at Amy’s parents’ house seeming concerned, but Amy wasn’t reported missing at that point. Diaz’s cousin said Amy, Diaz, and his girlfriend were at the cousin’s house that night. Diaz tried to force himself on Amy, but the cousin stopped him, and they all left.

Amy was never seen again. Diaz was later sent to prison for other serious crimes, including kidnapping and sexual assault. In 2018, he was charged with Amy’s murder. DNA evidence connects him to the crime. Although Amy’s body hasn’t been found, police believe she was murdered. Diaz is awaiting trial.
