- Details of Disappearance:
- Andrea disappeared from her apartment in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. Her mom and sister left her home alone to vacuum; when they returned two hours later, Andrea was gone, but everything else in the apartment was untouched.
Initially, police thought she ran away because she’d recently moved and was unhappy about it, and had minor legal trouble (acting as a lookout during a petty theft). However, her family didn’t believe she ran away, and police now suspect something more serious happened. There’s very little evidence to explain what.
Police investigated a possible connection to two men suspected of murder in a nearby town, but found no link. Investigators think she might have stayed in the area for a while after disappearing, but they worry she wouldn’t have survived long on the streets. Despite rumors, nothing has been proven. Andrea’s case remains unsolved, and her mother now lives in South Carolina.
