Details of Disappearance:: On December 8, 1976, Ewing disappeared from Redding, California. He told his mom he was hitchhiking to his brother’s place in Sacramento, but his brother didn’t know he was coming. Ewing had a powerful handgun (.357 magnum) with him. He never made it to Sacramento and nobody has heard from him since. His mom reported him missing a month later, on January 10, 1977. There’s not much information about what happened to him.
