- Distinguishing Characteristics African-American male. Black hair, brown eyes. Cruz’s nicknames are Monch and Monchito, and some accounts refer to him as Angelo Cruz. He has a birthmark on the right side of his chest.

- On May 1, 1998, a former professional basketball player named Cruz vanished. He was visiting family in Santa Rita, Puerto Rico, from his home in New York City. He went out to get milk and never came back.
Cruz had a successful basketball career, playing in college and then professionally in Puerto Rico. He even played in the Olympics! But after retiring in 1993, he struggled. He got a job at Yankee Stadium but also got involved with drugs. Five years later, he disappeared, leaving behind five children he loved very much.
The case is still a mystery, and New York police are working to find out what happened.
