Details of Disappearance:
In 2002, Angela and her son, Thomas, vanished from Salem, Arkansas. They were driving a dark gray or blue truck. Angela later left Thomas with a Missouri couple, Clarence and Barbara Krusen, supposedly for adoption (though some say she sold him).

Angela then went to California, but contacted her mother in December 2002, saying she was returning to Missouri to get Thomas back. After someone picked her up at a Springfield, Missouri bus station, both Angela and Thomas disappeared.

No one reported them missing until 2004. Police only learned about the Krusens’ involvement in 2020, long after Clarence had been murdered in Texas.

Barbara Krusen told police that Angela had signed adoption papers, but then changed her mind. The Krusens picked Angela up, but both she and Thomas were gone the next day. Barbara claimed Clarence said someone took them, but she didn’t hear anything. She failed a lie detector test and later said Clarence killed them and burned their bodies in a furnace. They moved, and Clarence got rid of the furnace.

Investigators think Barbara is telling the truth, believing Clarence killed Angela and Thomas, but their bodies were never found. Angela left behind another son with her boyfriend in Salem, Arkansas.
