- Details of Disappearance:
- Anna Maciejewska disappeared in 2017. Before she vanished, she’d taken some time off work. The last time anyone outside her family spoke to her was March 28th. Her husband, Allen Gould, said he last saw her on April 10th when she left their home to go to work at Voya Financial in West Chester, Pennsylvania. She never arrived. Her employer reported her missing the next day.
On May 8th, her car – a navy blue 2011 Audi A4 (Pennsylvania plate HTF2919) – was found abandoned in a parking lot near walking trails. There was no sign of her.
Anna regularly contacted her elderly parents in Poland. She’d planned a surprise visit for her father’s birthday but had to postpone it due to work. Her father received a strange birthday text from her phone on March 29th – the Polish was poorly written, unlike Anna’s usual messages.
On April 1st, Anna’s mother called Gould, wanting to speak to Anna. Gould said Anna would call back on Monday. When her mother called again on Monday, Gould said Anna hadn’t returned and he didn’t know where she was. He said he hadn’t contacted the police because he was busy with work and their child.
Gould initially cooperated with the police investigation but then hired a lawyer and stopped talking to them. He remains a person of interest, and other suspects are being investigated. Police believe foul play was involved, and her case is treated as a homicide, but it remains unsolved.
