- Anna disappeared from Danville, Kentucky on November 19, 1992. She was seen talking to her aunt near Chin’s Jewelry store, with an unknown white man. She was supposed to visit her aunt later that day but never showed up. This wasn’t reported to the police until February 1994, over a year later.
Anna had a two-year-old daughter. She married young (16 in 1985) and drifted away from her family, including the aunt who raised her. By 1992, Anna and her husband, Anthony, were separated. Earlier that year, Anthony was arrested for trying to kidnap Anna (he handcuffed her after she refused to have sex with him), but she escaped. He pleaded guilty to a lesser charge and served a short jail sentence. He was out of jail when Anna disappeared.
Anna’s aunt thinks she wouldn’t have left without saying goodbye. Because she’s been missing so long, police suspect foul play, but her case is still unsolved.
