- On June 12, 1989, in Denver, Colorado, Anthony Moya and his mom, Jessica, were sleeping on their apartment couch. Around 8:45 am, Jessica woke up to find the front door open and Anthony gone. There were no signs of a break-in. Anthony, his mom, and his baby sister were temporarily staying at the apartment, which they’d lived in for about a month.
Police questioned Jessica and her boyfriend. They took lie detector tests, and Jessica says they both failed, making them suspects. Jessica insists she’s innocent and believes a stranger kidnapped Anthony. Nobody else in the building saw anything unusual that morning. Because there’s no proof otherwise, police think Anthony was abducted by someone who wasn’t family. He’s never been found.
