- Details of Disappearance:
- In February 1985, a woman named Grisanti disappeared from Norwalk, Connecticut. Her boyfriend, James Aaron, was seen arguing with her and forcing her into his car the night before. Witnesses saw her kicking and screaming in his car as he drove away. Grisanti was never seen again.
Her car was found in the Norwalk River, and her wallet was found nearby. Before disappearing, Grisanti had reported to the police that Aaron had assaulted her, but she refused to press charges at the time.
Aaron had a history of violence. His previous wife disappeared and was later found dead under suspicious circumstances. He was questioned but never charged in her death.
Aaron was eventually charged with kidnapping Grisanti, pleaded guilty, and served prison time. Grisanti’s family sued him and the Norwalk police department, claiming the police ignored Grisanti’s complaints of abuse.
Grisanti has been declared legally dead, and though Aaron died in 2016, he remained the prime suspect in her murder.
