Details of Disappearance:
On June 14, 2003, Ramirez disappeared in Travis County, Texas. He was last seen around 10 pm on Melody Lane, walking home from a neighbor’s house. He never made it.

The next day, his truck – a blue and gray 1989 Dodge Ram Charger (license plate N02-ZXD) – was found damaged and covered in blood off Farm Road 969. It looked like it had been shot at. This strongly suggested Ramirez had been seriously hurt or killed.

Police suspected Domingo Jaimes. Jaimes ran away to Mexico right after Ramirez disappeared. He was eventually caught in Austin, Texas in 2011 (for drunk driving), and then charged with Ramirez’s murder.

Jaimes confessed to accidentally hitting Ramirez’s truck, then shooting Ramirez when he approached. Scared of being deported, Jaimes didn’t call the police. Instead, he dumped Ramirez’s body in the Colorado River near Webberville, Texas.
