- Distinguishing Characteristics Caucasian female. Brown hair, brown eyes. Ferree’s maiden name is Thompson, and her nickname is Barbie. She has a tattoo of a rose on her right shoulder. She has at least one surgical scar, and her ears are pierced.
- Details of Disappearance:
- On October 3, 1991, Ferree disappeared from a party in Chickasha, Oklahoma. One person at the party, Gary Quisenberry, claimed she left for cigarettes and never came back, but police didn’t believe him. Other witnesses said Quisenberry and Ferree argued, and he threw a TV at her, killing her.
Years later, in 1996, Quisenberry was arrested for unrelated crimes. He confessed to killing Ferree, saying they argued near Gracemont, Oklahoma, and he hit her. He claimed he buried her body in rural Caddo County, but police couldn’t find it after searching extensively. He was only charged with lying to the police (obstruction of justice).
Adding to the mystery, a witness said Quisenberry’s sister, Susie Lee, was seen destroying Ferree’s ID and claimed to have killed and buried her. Police searched again but still found nothing.
Because of a lack of evidence, Quisenberry was never charged with Ferree’s murder. Her disappearance is still an unsolved mystery, and police believe she was murdered.
