- On September 24, 1989, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, a woman named Lopez Cubelos disappeared. She was last seen leaving a friend’s apartment around 5 a.m. after a night out. Her friend’s car wouldn’t start, so she walked away, possibly to hitchhike home. She never made it.
Before she vanished, Lopez Cubelos traveled around the U.S. a lot, sometimes with her three children, sometimes leaving them with her grandparents.
The police haven’t solved her disappearance.
