Details of Disappearance:
Gray disappeared in Montrose, Colorado in May 1978. He owned part of the Chipeta Bar. The last person to see him was a friend who said he dropped Gray off at the bar around 4 am on May 31st. Gray never made it to his rooms.

Gray had a wife and kids and was in a lot of debt. He had done various business deals, which might have made him some enemies, but his family said he was usually friendly. His family later lost their ranch.

The only clue was his checkbook, found near the ranch at Blue Mesa. Police investigated, but his friend stopped talking to them. While there’s no proof he was murdered, it’s very strange for him to vanish without a trace.
