Roseland has a scar extending vertically from his lower lip to his chin, a half-inch circular scar on the right side of his mouth, a one-inch scar on the left side of his nose, and a three-quarter-inch scar on the upper left side of his chest near his left nipple. Only the first two of the pictures show him after he got the facial scars. He has previously broken his collarbone and fractured his skull. Roseland’s nicknames are Ben and Benny.
- Details of Disappearance:
- Roseland disappeared on February 9, 2008, in Clinton, Iowa. He was last seen leaving a friend’s house around 10:25 pm, walking to a Hy-Vee grocery store, but he never got there. His shoes were found scattered several blocks apart, but nothing else.
He lived at home with his parents and was a college student. The previous winter, he’d been in a serious car accident, injuring himself (including a fractured skull) and another person. He was facing charges related to the accident, but his family says he was very sorry and wouldn’t have run away. He’d even hired a lawyer and paid a large fee.
Roseland didn’t have a car and didn’t take anything with him when he disappeared. His phone and bank account haven’t been used since. He left a lot of money in his savings account—money he’d been saving for a house since he was eight years old. His disappearance is out of character, and the police haven’t solved the case.
