Details of Disappearance:: On August 18, 2010, a man named McDaniel went cave diving alone at Vortex Springs in Florida. He went into the cave around 7:30 PM. The cave is long and deep—about 1600 feet long and up to 165 feet deep. He’s never been seen since. A big search found nothing except his unused diving equipment (tanks) at the entrance of the cave. His truck was still in the parking lot. It’s believed he drowned.
