- On February 21, 2009, a fisherman named Nguyen went crab fishing with two friends off the coast of California. A huge, unexpected wave capsized their boat, the Della C. Nguyen’s friends got to a life raft, but Nguyen didn’t. They tried to save him, but he disappeared in the ocean. After a big search, they couldn’t find him. They believe he drowned. His friends were rescued but were very cold. Nguyen is missed by his wife and three children.
