Details of Disappearance:
Billy and his cousin Mary Lou disappeared in Albuquerque, New Mexico on September 22, 1979. They were last seen near Edith and Mountain Roads around 10:00 a.m., heading to the post office. They never came back.

No one knows for sure what happened. Maybe they ran away, were kidnapped, or even accidentally got trapped somewhere. There were also rumors they were murdered, but there’s no proof.

Police think Michael Cordova, Billy’s mom’s boyfriend, might be involved. Billy’s sister said Cordova dealt drugs and grew marijuana. He beat Billy badly after one of his plants went missing just before the kids disappeared. Police also want to talk to a woman named Liza Ramirez who lived with Billy.

Billy was in sixth grade, and Mary Lou was in fourth grade. Sadly, most of their family is gone, but Billy’s sister and Mary Lou’s mother are still alive and hoping for answers. The case is still unsolved.
