- Details of Disappearance:
- On November 30, 1991, cab driver Robert Adams disappeared in Charleston, West Virginia. He started his shift at 4:00 PM and was supposed to return his cab to C&H Cab by 3:00 AM the next day, but this wasn’t always exact. The last time C&H Cab heard from him was 11:45 PM.
A witness saw Adams at 3:45 AM on Washington Street East with a man: a middle-aged, light-haired Caucasian man, about six feet tall, wearing a brown jacket. This man has never been identified.
Adams, his cab, and the unidentified man vanished. His cab was found abandoned and hidden near Twilight Drive on December 1st. The car was damaged (scratches and a broken headlight), and there was a significant amount of blood in the back seat – enough to suggest Adams was killed. Surprisingly, Christmas presents he’d bought for his family were still in the trunk.
The case is unsolved, and police believe foul play was involved.
